MQ:HS Longboards

Big wheels:

Great for holding momentum, but not always the most practical for a casual grab & go board. Rotational mass is your friend in this sport, but you sometimes sacrifice versatility like with loss of grip and weight gain

Long Distance Pushing (or Pumping, depending on setup), known as LDP, is the sport exactly as titled. It’s about going large distances with boards designed and built specifically for that purpose. While there are races that require explosive energy, it’s more about strength and resilience over long distances.

Some common traits on LDP setups are BIG WHEELS, narrow deck widths, and being as low to the ground as possible. Anything to preserve symmetry on both sides of your body is a win.

Narrow Deck:

Keeps your pushing leg in line with your hips. The more you can preserve a natural and comfortable resting and pushing position on the board, the better you’ll be able to push.

Low to the ground:

Similar to the previous point, having the board as low to the ground as possible means your quads and knees do have to do less work getting your pushing leg to the ground

Pantheon EMBER

“Compared to a board like the Pranayama, the Ember sacrifices some of the low-ness and instead shaves some heft… The platform is slightly smaller than the Pranayama, but similar enough that if you can ride one, you can ride the other.

The board feels notably smaller and it will suit people who just want a commuter deck that feels small–like a mini cruiser but way easier to push around.”

Pantheon Pranayama

“Featuring an extremely low ride height, lightweight design, comfortable flex, slim profile, and perfectly fitted components, this complete commuter [LDP] longboard stands above all others in ease of use and fit.

… You will roll over just about anything in your path. The low standing platform allows for easier pushing and effortless foot braking. iders will find themselves traveling further on a longboard than they originally thought possible.”
