But in the world we live in, we only have so much time...

Downhill longboarding was put on the backburner as my other passions required more time and focus.

However, I never ever stopped skating.

This leads us to where I am today. My love for skating has evolved away from treacherously bombing hills on downhill boards to testing my physical limits on LDP boards.

Coast to Coast…

I’m lucky enough to take my board with me almost everywhere I go…

PEAK MOBILITY: LONGBOARDING

I’ve been skating for as long as I can remember. When I was a little kid I thought skateboarding was the coolest thing ever. That train of thought rapidly got replaced with “biking is the coolest thing ever.”

In the scope of “manually powered, wheeled methods of transport,”

you can’t really get more optimized than grabbing a board and, to put it simply, hauling ass.

Nevertheless, I never lost my love for pushing around. I got more serious about improving my skating abilities when I was in middle school in the late 2000’s. Downhill longboarding was really gaining popularity, and I wanted to be a part of it. Like many of that age and experience, I invested in a Sector 9 longboard because it was cool, low to the ground (which meant “fast” in my head), and cheap

With this board and many others that came after it, I was really getting serious about downhill longboarding and freeride. I was practicing heel and toe slides, destroyed several pairs of slide gloves, and my eyes were in scan mode constantly, looking for any hill that looked prime for a good bomb.

The speeds I was reaching were getting into the low to mid double digits, and I had no plans of slowing down (literally).
